Over a century has passed since Humans brought destruction to the shores of Ardenmyst. The Spirit sought to protect her land, and imbued every remaining raccoon with a spark of her magic, giving rise to a new race: The Coonkin. She charged the Coonkin with the task of befriending the Humans, and building a better Ardenmyst together.
Her home would become known as The Academy of High Magical Arts, and here is where the Coonkin would practice and hone their skills. Innovation would lead to industry, and they established the Engineering Corps, a division of The Academy which would focus on infusing magic into machinery, as a clean replacement for burning coal. This technology would become a bartering tool to build relations with the Humans.
Now, generations later, some Humans still do not honor the treaties, and some Coonkin have rejected the Spirit's mission. Amidst these tensions, a darkness looms, threatening both Human and Coonkin alike.
These chronicles follow the journeys of three unassuming heroes, called by the Spirit to rise against this threat, and save the land they all call home... if they can.

Twitch lives alone deep within the heart of Ravenwood Forest, and not by accident, either. After failing to learn how to control her magic, with almost tragic consequences, and being expelled from The Academy of High Magical Arts, she chose a life of solitude, where she couldn't hurt anybody. But, her world gets turned upside down one night, when a hoard of risen undead attack her cottage, and a mysterious magic orb falls into her possession from the sky. She embarks on a journey of both discovery and survival as she seeks to uncover who, or what, is behind the attack.
Along the way, she meets a member of a very reclusive race of spiders called the Arachidna, often rumored to be mere hallucinations, flashes of color seen from the corner of the eye. Twitch comes to discover that the threat to Ardenmyst is larger than just her cottage, as she learns of an evil mind-controlling corruption that is afflicting both the Arachidna, and the race of man-eating black widows that plague the only trail through the dangerous Grimshade Forest.
Can Twitch free the Arichdna from the corruption, and can Fidget keep her safe as they ride into battle (for what will only be the first time) against the same black widows who slaughtered his family?

Kaven and Kayla are twins who were born with no Spark. Having no inherent magical abilities, they found themselves surviving on the streets of Hawthorn, thieving and scrounging everything they can.
The Sparkless, as they are called, are viewed as little more than "larger game" by the Noblemen of the Brindlewood Territory. These affluent Humans have little respect for the treaties, and exist outside the arm of the law. They are known to hire mercenaries to capture Sparkless, and deliver them to their massive estates. While some want their acquisitions delivered alive so that they can be hunted, some contracts are for pelts and tails only.
Kaven has no idea what type of contract was being fulfilled when mercenaries kidnapped his sister. Armed with only his determination and love for his kin, he sets off on an adventure to find and rescue her, or at least, avenge her. But fate, it would seem, has other plans, when he stumbles across a powerful artifact in the wreckage of a great airship. He also can't seem to stop running into a particular purple-robed witch named Twitch, and her furry Arachidna companion, Fidget.

As Head Artificer of the Engineering Corps, Arti oversees research and development at The Academy of High Magical Arts. Here, the Coonkin infuse their magic into machinery in an effort to not only build relations with the Humans, but to supply Ardenmyst with sustainable alternatives to burning coal or oil.
Having one of the highest levels of security clearance, and trusted with many of The Academy's secrets, Arti is dispatched on a mission to escort a powerful artifact to the Frostpelt Tribe in the frozen Northern settlement of Chillhaven. When disaster strikes, he finds himself thrust into a quest of survival and seeking answers to the mystery of who, or what, is threatening to destroy them all.
While Arti teams up with Twitch and Fidget to do their part in preparation for the battles to come, he also harbors a secret of his own; an unsanctioned device of his own creation which could turn the tide of war, but in the wrong hands, could tear the reality of Ardenmyst to shreds.

In the thrilling conclusion to The Coonkin Chronicles, we follow our heroes Twitch, Fidget, Arti, and Kaven as they work to unite the forces of Ardenmyst, and launch a daring assault to take back the town of Hawthorn from the darkness that has been unleashed by the disciple of the evil Malachoir.
Will The Academy's fleet of mechanical dragons give the Frostpelt, Humans, and Arachidna the leverage they need to turn the tide against the black widows and the risen undead? Or will the forces of darkness spread from Hawthorn to overtake Ravencrest, Brindlewood, and beyond? How steep is the cost of victory, and will our heroes be willing to pay the price to save the land they all call home?

Re-experience the events of The Coonkin Chronicles through the first person perspective of the fan favorite battle-mount, Fidget. From the moment he hatches in his egg sac amidst the slaughter of his family in Grimshade Forest, all the way to his harrowing battle with the widow matriarch, see Ardenmyst through the eyes of this adorably playful, yet blood-thirsty and ruthless spider-puppy.
Get inside his mind as he learns how to survive in a world that is so much larger and scarier than his snug little egg sac. Meet more of what remains of Fidget's family, namely his big sister, Serina, and his hot-headed brother named Argus. Feel the rush of battle as you relive the epic confrontation in the skies above and in the streets of Hawthorn. And see the wilder side of Ardenmyst from a thought-provoking perspective as Fidget explores the cuisine that the wildlife has to offer, from his first botched attempt at catching a squirrel, to his first take down of a full-grown deer.
This optional, supplemental novel is dedicated to my adoring fans who fell in love with Fidget while reading the previous books, and I wanted to find a way to give them more of him, and his antics.
